Situation

Situation

Market Alpha — a commercial real-estate analytics tool for Savills, built under the KnowledgeCubed platform — carried the classic data-product risk: so much information on screen that business decision-makers couldn’t quickly see what was actionable. Depth was the problem, not the shortage of data.

Task

Task

Design an interface story where maps, dashboards, and analytic views could be understood fast — so the tool could support real decisions without weeks of user training, and so the team could demo its value convincingly.

I built screen systems that organised data into clear sections — maps, metrics panels, detail views — and used layout, colour, and hierarchy to steer attention to the signals that mattered. I structured flows that carry a user from an overview map into specific drill-downs, which gave the team a concrete usage narrative for demos and sales conversations. The deliberate trade-off: I designed a reusable framework rather than one-off screens, accepting slower initial delivery so the tool would stay coherent as new datasets and dashboards were added.

Results

Results

The redesign made Market Alpha’s value proposition — turn raw data into clear, spatial insight — obvious at a glance, supporting shorter sales cycles and easier onboarding for non-technical stakeholders. Internally, the team gained a reusable design framework that reduced complexity when adding new datasets, keeping the product coherent as it scaled.

Conclusion

The project demonstrates a specialized approach to SaaS and tech product design — focusing on deep business integration to create intuitive user experiences and effective interfaces.
